Mission Profiles of Local Ministries supported by CLG
Thomas Judd Care Center:
CLG works with TJCC (a division of Munson Community Health Center) to show Christ’s love to those affected by HIV & AIDS in the Grand Traverse area and northern Michigan.
CLG is very supportive of all who are in recovery and opens its doors to give groups like Narcotics Anonymous (NA) a place to meet. There is also a strong community of people in recovery in our church family who can answer your questions and walk alongside you as you work on your own recovery.
Project Safe Harbor:
A group of churches in the area opening their doors to house those in need of shelter during the cold winter months, supplying food, fellowship and a warm place to sleep. For more info or to volunteer, call PSH liaison, Ron Windorfer @ 231-933-0383.
DeLynn and Gloria Hoover
Jesus calls all of us as his followers to “Go and Make Disciples” (Matthew 28:19). DeLynn and Gloria Hoover, the founders of Pura Vida Missions (now VidaNet), felt that their area of “making disciples” was cross-cultural. Through experiences in life and family background in cross-cultural missions, the Lord had uniquely gifted them for working with Latin American people. Their calling led them to move their small family to the country of Costa Rica. Over 2500 youth, adults, and families have worked with over 40 churches. VidaNet puts a high priority on maintaining close relationships and working directly with the local church."
Raul and Kimi
Both Raul & Kimi have been serving the Lord in mission work for many years. Since before they married in December 2010, they have been serving together with VidaNet – first in the slums, La Cuenca, and later in the jungles of Talamanca. The Lord has taken them many wonderful places; Raul has done mission work all over Central America and Southeast Asia, and now He has nestled them in the foothills of the mountain, ministering to Raul’s own hometown and people and also to the Vida220 students. Kimi and Raul are passionate about reaching and discipling the “least of these” with God’s enduring love.
