Wrath or Surrender (1 Timothy 5:1-25)

Scott NorrisScott Norris, March 5, 2017
Part of the 1 Timothy series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

On the surface Paul puts demands on us that may seem hard, constraining, or even unfair. From a temporal point of view we always want to differ to our own judgment. But God is the ultimate and righteous judge. He has reasons for His demands that we may not comprehend but they are rooted in His incomparable love for us and the world we are to influence. If we rely on our own judgment instead of His we subjugate ourselves to His righteous and awful wrath.
